Account & Data Deletion‍ ‍

You can request deletion of your Clad account and personal data at any time.

How to request deletion

Email privacy@cladpayments.com from the email address associated with your Clad account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include your full name and the role on your account (school user, guardian, or administrator). We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

What gets deleted
- Your name, email, phone number, and profile information - Your authentication credentials
- Linked payment methods (card tokens are also revoked at Stripe)
- Usage and analytics data linked to your account

What we are required to retain

We are legally required to keep certain records even after account deletion:

Payment and transaction records — retained for 7 years to comply with US tax and anti-money-laundering rules.

Past communications and disputes — retained for 3 years to resolve ongoing matters.

These records are minimised, access-controlled, and not used for any purpose other than legal compliance.
